Parking

The IHS All-Class Reunion Weekend will no doubt be a colossal event and planning ahead will be essential to minimize stress and frustration.

Here a few tips to keep in mind:

Getting to the Events

Friday night football game - while we don't expect nearly as many students and alum to show for Friday's game, you should still plan accordingly for traffic and crowds getting into and out of the game. There are two parking lots adjacent to the stadium on the north and south ends and as well as street parking and several nearby strip mall lots. There is no charge for parking and it is first come first serve. There are also bus lines that stop directly in front of the school as well as ride-share options such as Uber and Lyft.

Saturday's GUINNESS WORLD RECORD attempt - with hundreds of family and friends expected to accompany our 4,500 alum and students as well as faculty, staff, volunteers and special guests, please plan your travel thoughtfully. This would a great day for car-pooling, Uber, Lyft or catching a bus in order to save yourself the potential traffic headache. SJPD will likely be directing traffic and will do the best they can to get everyone in and out quickly and safely. If it seems overwhelming, try to imagine it as similar to a graduation with thousands of students and their families all converging in one place at the same time. Also, keep in mind that the school routinely hosts large scale events, such as sports tournaments and has the logistics down to a science.
